Course Description The degree offers the two options for completion- 3-year full-time or 4-year thick-sandwich The sandwich year one-year work placement at a company or institution Students will be learning about the role of biochemical pathways in normal metabolism and how these pathways may be altered during speci?c human diseases Main focus is on areas in biosciences and medically related research The subject areas include genetics, cell and molecular biology, immunology, and anatomy and physiology, as related to human health, disease and treatment Graduates will be developing good practical, analytical and transferable skills applicable to a wide range of employment opportunities such as medicine, MSc and PhD study, pharmaceutical research, pathology and diagnosis, clinical trials and data management Students will also receive a one-year subscription to the Royal Society of Biology
